Top 10 PV makers sell 3.95 mln vehicles in 08'

Shanghai, February 2 (Gasgoo.com) China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has unveiled the country's top 10 passenger vehicle sellers (including minivans) in 2008, industry website caixun.com reported Monday.

The top ten passenger car sellers for 2008 were SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co, FAW-Volkswagen Co, Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co, Shanghai General Motors Corp, FAW Toyota Motor Co, Chery Automobile Co, Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co, Beijing Hyundai Motor Co, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co. 

The above ten car makers sold a total of 3.946 million vehicles from January through December 2008, accounting for 58 percent of total passenger vehicle sales last year.

In December, top ten car makers sold 346,400 vehicles, accounting for 59 percent of total passenger car sales. Top ten sellers in the month were SAIC-GM-Wuling, Shanghai VW, Dongfeng Nissan, Shanghai GM, Chery Auto, FAW VW, Beijing Hyundai, Guangzhou Honda, FAW Toyota and Geely.
