Dongfeng Yueda Kia to increase dealers in '09
Shanghai, February 17 (Gasgoo.com) Dongfeng Yueda Kia announced that it plans to increase its dealerships to 280, up 49.7% from 187 last year, China Business News reported today.
Although the prospect of China's auto market in 2009 is thought to be dim and bleak, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., the joint venture between Dongfeng Motor, Kia Motors and Yueda, has set its sales target of 185,000 units in 2009, up 30% from 142,008 of last year.
The sales target of the existing models in 2009 will stay the same with last year's, and the increased sales will come from two new models, said Zhong Shengyuan, Chief Bussiness Officer of Dongfeng Yueda Kia sales department.
The automaker is planning to drive sales up through expanding sales network, according to sources of the company. The new sales network will spread over the central and western areas of China, with the secondary and third-class cities as the key markets.
