Changhe Auto Feb sales up 36% to 12,783 units

Shanghai, March 13 (Gasgoo.com) In February, Changhe Auto (Changhe Suzuki) retained its strong growth by selling 12,783 vehicles, up 36% from a year earlier, sina.com said today. This is the second monthly sales high the company has reached after January this year.

Statistics show that the Beidouxing, still the hot-selling flagship models of Changhe, sold 7,000 units last month, up 48.3% year on year; the Liana sedan model also saw its sales rally and grow by 14% in February.

Changhe Auto has focused on the low-emission car market in the recent two years. The Beidouxing, equipped with Suzuki's global strategic K14B engine, is a fuel-efficient, durable and stable model, which has been well received in the market.

The third-generation mini-van Changhe Furuida series has been selling well since its launch in early June 2008. Its fuel-efficiency, heavy-load capability and fast speed have drawn many urban and rural buyers alike.

This year, Changhe Auto will upgrade its products considerably and launch the 2009 versions of Beidouxing, Landy, Ideal, Furuida and other models. Meanwhile, the company will develop and produce a new-generation Furuida flat-floor vehicle model for the rural market.
