BYD MPV to debut at '09 Shanghai auto show
BYD Auto will introduce its first-ever MPV in late-April at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. The BYD M6 is scheduled to begin production in October.
The M6 will be powered by a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developed by BYD. Chinese reports say a Mitsubishi 2.4-liter four-cylinder also may be offered.
According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, BYD also plans to unveil several new models in 2009, including the F5 sedan and the S6 utility vehicle.
BYD continues to broaden its product portfolio, ahead of its planned 2011 launch in North America.
