Xiamen King Long hybrid bus to run in Beijing

Shanghai, March 20 (Gasgoo.com) Chinese bus maker Xiamen King Long (Golden Dragon) Auto has recently secured an order from Beijing Public Transportation Holding (Group) Co Ltd for 20 hybrid buses, sina.com said today.

Xiamen King Long started its R&D project of hybrid buses in 2001. By working together with several engine and energy companies in China, the bus-maker has developed the XMQ6120G, XMQ6118G, XMQ6125G hybrid bus models.

With eight years of hard work, Xiamen Jing Long has built up its great expertise in the manufacture of hybrid buses. Its products have been well received and highly acclaimed in the buses market after their successful trial run in several cities.

The 20 hybrid buses ordered by Beijing Public Transport belong to the new-generation XMQ6125G model. The XMQ6125G9 new hybrid bus won "CIBC New Energy Green Bus Awards" in the fourth China International Bus Contest held at the end of last month in Beijing.

Xiamen King Long has an annual production capacity of more than 10,000 vehicles. Its bus products are well known in the tourism and public transportation markets and exported to Africa, Americas and the Middle East and some parts of Asia.

Beijing Public Transport will purchase 910 new-energy buses this year for green public transportation. All of the buses, including 50 all-electric and 860 hybrid vehicles, will come into service on major routes of Beijing city by the end of 2009.
