New Lexus RX350 SUV going on sale in China

Shanghai, March 24 (Gasgoo.com) The Lexus RX350, a super luxury SUV, will have its all-new model launched to the Chinese market on March 25, xinhuanet.com said today.

Since its entry into the China market, the Lexus RX has become a flagship model in the SUV segment thanks to its remarkable performance-price ratio. The all-new Lexus RX350 is expected to be more competitive in China's luxury SUV segment, in which the current major brands include Benz ML350, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Volkswagen Tiguan, Volve XC90, and Acura MDX.

The new RX350 -- the third-generation of Lexus's luxury SUV -- features sportier styling and major engineering changes. Customers will be drawn to the Lexus L-finesse design as well as twin improvements in fuel economy and performance.

Lexus developed the new RX with a younger buyer in mind. The development team targeted those in their 40s to attract the younger generation. The new RX350 cabin comes with luxury and sports trim levels, and Chinese customers prefer the luxurious version.

The original RX300 was unveiled in 1998. Since then, Lexus has notched up more than a million sales worldwide. The new Lexus RX350 to be sold in China is a global model, basically not different from the American version.
