Shanghai, March 30 (Gasgoo.com) Up to now, the vehicle sales of Dongfeng Nissan in the first quarter has already reached 85,000 units, which increases 25% over the same period of last year, Chen Binbo, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Nissan's marketing and sales division, told China Youth Daily recently.

The company's sales output in March grows about 20% from a year earlier. And the first three weeks' sales of March increased around 18%.

Some companies used to expand their networks extensively, and this has caused severe competition among the brand's distributors system. Dongfeng Nissan prefers to develop a network that gives more consideration to its distributors' interest.

Chen said that the company will expand its network only if a distribution outlet's annual average sales volume can rise as well. In fact, the increase of an outlet's sales will be hard to meet unless the sales growth lags behind the network expansion pace.

For this year, Dongfeng Nissan plans to set up 30 to 40 new dealerships. And correspondingly the total numbers of the stores will reach 340 with a growth rate of 10%, which means this joint venture sales increasing rate has to be bigger than this figure.
