Booming auto sales will continue till June

Seven to eight domestic passenger vehicle manufacturers said they got good sales in March, posting both month-on-month and year-on-year growth.

What factors help the sales continue booming from the Spring Festival through March?

Except the festival itself, two factors contributed to the surging sales, one is the policies like fuel tax and car purchase tax, and another is the exploding purchase power caused by waiting car purchase tax, according Xu Changming, director of information resources department of State Information Center

Geographically, March sales growth wasn't helped by the revival of traditional costal provinces but by the middle and western areas of China, especially reflected in Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces.

With the "cars to the countryside" policy put into practice, these areas will contribute a lot to auto market growth.

Xu expected that the growing auto sales will continue through June as the good selling situation now in China would not change at least in two or three months.
