Lifan 320 prototype officially launched

Shanghai, April 20 (Gasgoo.com) Lifan 320 prototype, which resembles a Mini Cooper, is officially launched on the opening day of 2009 Shanghai Auto Show.

The Lifan 320 offers four body colors for customers and will be sold at 48,800 yuan (US$7,142) in Chinese market, according to Lifan Motor's press release.

A 5-door compact hatchback, the Lifan 320 measures 3,755mm in length, 1,620 in width and 1,430mm in height on a 2340mm- wheelbase. Power comes from a self-developed 1.3L engine capable of 65kw/6000rpm and 155km/h. It may carry a 1.1L engine when it's mass-produced for the market.

Lifan began producing cars in late 2005 and has launched the Lifan 520 sedan and hatchback, and Lifan 620 sedan for domestic and overseas markets.
