Haima Fstar Me EV debuts at SH auto show
Shanghai, April 21 (Gasgoo.com) Haima Auto has released its all-new electric vehicle Me EV at the ongoing 2009 Shanghai auto show, as a follow-up to its Fstar EV released at last year's Beijing auto show, xinhuanet.com said today.
According to Haima Fushida, a joint venture between FAW and Mazda, its Me EV features a set of high-performance brushless motors and a choice of two lithium-ion battery packs that can power the tangerine EV between 100 and 120 miles and on to a top-speed of either 50 or 75 mph, respectively.
A 220-volt power supply can supposedly recharge the Me in around four hours, and if it reaches production, the urban runabout with seating for two could be credible option for navigating Shanghai's increasing congested byways.
The carmaker earlier said the Haima Fstar would be the first new model to be made at the carmaker's Zhengzhou facility.
Following the launch of its all-new compact hatchback Huandong (H11) in December 2008, Haima Auto may put its Fstar (Fushida) MPV model to the market in the first half of this year.
