Shanghai, May 8 (Gasgoo.com) In the first four months this year, Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor saw its domestic sales rise 81% from a year earlier, said sina.coom today. This remarkable growth is mainly attributed to the company's three vehicle categories.

Previously known as China's greatest maker of SUVs and pickups, Great Wall Motor has expanded into the sedan segment, moving forward with its three categories of vehicles. The Great Wall (GW) sedans are gaining recognition and have great market potentials.

The company has launched to the market its GW-series sedans, such as the GW Florid with 1.3L and 1.5L all-aluminum VVT engines, GW Coolbear with 1.5L all-aluminum VVT engine, and 1.3L 2009 GW Peri.

In the SUV and pickup segments, Great Wall Motor has just released its 2.0L Hover H3, with the small 1.3L Hover M1 to go on sale later this month, and the GW Wingle commercial pickup and Cowry 2009 pickup have also been put to the market.

Great Wall Motor has said that it will launch more models of the three categories to the market, especially the sedan and small SUV models. There will be nine models with engines of 1.6 liters or less for release.
