Dongfeng Motor having an agency in Czech Republic

Czech Republic is the first European Union country, in which the Chinese tycoon of commercial vehicles – Dongfeng Motor Corp (DFM) has opened its agency. GAZ Auto Praha company became the official importer of these cars. One urban commercial vehicle is being sold. It is available in seven car bodies: chassis, truck, farmer, pickup, van, wagon and cargo. Customers have the possibility to personalize the vehicle up to theirs own idea, choosing the cab for 2 or 5 passengers.

All car bodies are based on the on platform with 2,515 mm. Having the length of around 4 meters and gross vehicle weight 1,260 kg, vehicles are adjusted to transport carriage of nearly 1,000 kg weight. 1.0l, four-cylinders petrol engine, with 52 hp, with fuel consumption of 5.8l/100 km. Maximum speed given by the producer is 120 km/h. It is worth to say, that in DFM offer, there are models with electric engine as well, being exported to USA.

The cheapest version  –  chassis with single cub–costs 189,000 CZK (32,130 PLN), ant the most expensive one – cargo version is 249,000 CZK (42,330 PLN). Czech dealers offer additional equipment elements, such as LPG installation (49,500 CZK – 8,420 PLN) or air-conditioning (10,000 CZK – 1,700 PLN). The prices do not included VAT.

Dongfeng Motor Corp. was founded in 1969. During 40 years, concern has become the biggest local car producer and the biggest commercial vehicles' importer. Last year, the company produced 1,137,000 vehicles, reaching 13% of Chinese market. Currently DFM in joint-ventures with such tycoon as Peugeot, Citroen, Honda, Nissan or Kia.
