Dongfeng May sales up 6.44% to 108,937 units

Shanghai, June 15 (Gasgoo.com) Dongfeng Motor Group Co, China's third-largest automaker, said its vehicle sales in May came to 108,937 units, up 6.44% from a year earlier, lagging a 34.02% gain of overall market, it said last weekend, Reuters reported.

Of the 108,937 vehicles sold by the company in May, sales of passenger cars jumped 33.86% to 79,620 units, under performing a 46.83% gain in the country's car market. Sales of commercial vehicles fell 31.61% to 29,317 units.

Dongfeng Motor Group operates car manufacturing ventures with PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Honda Motor. It also makes cars and commercial vehicles with Nissan Motor.

The sales of Dongfeng Motor and its subsidiaries in May and the first five months this year are listed as follows:
