Jianghuai Auto eyes 150% growth in sales this year

Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co, the second-largest manufacturer of light trucks in China, expects to sell 300,000 units of passenger cars in 2010, up 150% from a year ago.

An Jin, general manager of Chinese auto maker, said at the ongoing Guangzhou Auto Show that the company has sold 100,000 passenger cars as of end-October, two months ahead of its original plan. He also predicted that the full-year sales will exceed 120,000 in 2009, almost double that of a year ago.

JAC is showcasing five passenger car models at the auto show this year. It is estimated that sales of its strategic model Heyue RS will be more than 100,000 units in 2010.

The Heyue RS hatchback and sedan are priced between RMB 65,800 and 84,800.
