Shanghai, November 26 (Gasgoo.com) Jaguar is looking to change the distribution mode in China by setting up Jaguar’s local sales company as a step of the British carmaker’s expanding the total investment in the Chinese market, Li Ruixuan, the general manager told Beijing Times at Guangzhou Auto Show this week.
In last week’s board meeting of Jaguar LandRover in China, the first meeting outside Britain, the board planned to change the current dealership to a specialized sales company of Jaguar itself.
Jaguar has seen a rosy future in China, which will become the top market of Jaguar in the next decade after exceed German, Britain and United States, the top executive of Jaguar China added.
Reportedly, this year to date Jaguar has exceeded the total sales of last year, expecting a rise of 35% from a year earlier. In 2010, hopefully China will become the third largest market of Jaguar, currently it is fourth largest market after the United States, United Kingdom and German, boosted by the introduction of Jaguar XJ.
