Mazda China Nov sales up 67% to 16,853 vehicles
The sales of Mazda-branded cars reached 16,853 vehicles in China in November 2009, rising 67% from a year earlier, according to Mazda Motor (China) Co., Ltd.
In the first eleven months, the company witnessed sales of 153,827 vehicles, hiking 34%, taking another step further toward its target of 170,000 vehicles for the 2009 full year.
Thanks to the robust sales of Mazda6, FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co., Ltd. sold 9,378 vehicles in November, leaping 30%; and Chang'an Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. (CFMA) witnessed sales of 7,475 vehicles in the month, swelling 160%, bolstered up by the sales boom of Mazda2 and MazdA3.
The number of 4S stores under FAW Mazda and CFMA jumped from 212 in early 2009 to more than 250 at the yearend. By the end of November, there are already 251 4S stores in China selling Mazda-branded cars.
In the month, Mazda Motor (China) released in the Chinese market Mazda CX-7, the ultimate SUV crossover that combines sports car attributes with SUV capabilities, further enriching its product ranges.
