Ford's Volvo recalls vehicles in South, West U.S.

Ford Motor Co.'s Volvo unit is recalling 136,100 vehicles sold or registered in the U.S. South and West because of fuel pump cracks that can develop in hot climates, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall affects 2001 to 2005 S80 models, 2001 to 2004 V70s, S60s and XC70s, and 2003 to 2005 XC90s, the agency said on its Web site. The recall applies to vehicles in 19 states, including Virginia, California, Florida, Arizona Georgia and Tennessee, the agency said.
