Shanghai, March 25 (Gasgoo.com) At present, the second plant of Beijing Hyundai has increased their UPH (Unit per Hour) output to 66 units, indicating the plant has reached an annual production capacity of 600,000 units through the expansion of its previous 300,000-unit capacity and upgrading of its original equipment.

Meanwhile, the second plant is now producing four models instead of two. In addition to Elantra, i30 and the upcoming new SUV, ix35, NFC (flagship model of Beijing Hyundai) and Sonata have also been manufactured in the second plant.

In 2009, Beijing Hyundai took the growth crown from other JV’s with an increase of 93.6% in sales. However, it hopes to stabilize the development at around 18% to 670,000 units in 2010, keeping a steady pace in development and management, and to mainly focus on the enhancement of the company’s core strength.
