Shanghai, April 21 (Gasgoo.com) A new showroom of Great Wall vehicles was opened at Kupondole, Nepal on Sunday by Himchuli Auto International Pvt Ltd, the authorized importer and distributor of China's Great Wall Motor, local media reported.

Himchuli Auto International has been importing Great Wall vehicles to Nepal since April 2009. The company has been selling the Chinese automaker's vehicles such as 2.5TCI Hover jeeps, 2.8TC and TCI Wingle pick-ups and 1.5WT Florid hatchback cars in the Nepali market.

The market share of the Chinese vehicles in Nepal will be more than expected in the days ahead, and Himchuli Auto "plans to overtake the market share of the auto business in the country," said DB Gurung, the company's owner.

Narly 40 units of Great Wall Motor's pickups imported by Himchuli Auto have been already sold. The Great Wall pick-up models represented by Wingle offer high, medium and low specifications, said Gurung.

The demand for another Great Wall vehicle type, Hover Jeep, is also in high demand in the Nepali market. The local importer has sold 19 units of this jeep model.

Great Wall hatchback cars, recently imported by Himchuli Auto, have better options and are expected to sell even better in Nepal, Gurung added.
