Jaguar Land Rover to set up sales company in China

Shanghai, May 14 (Gasgoo.com) For the first time, Land Rover showcased all of its models at the 2010 Beijing auto show, including Land Rover Freelander 2, Forth Generation Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range and Land Rover Defender, which landed in China recently.

The originator of car Jaguar SS100 also made its debut in China. All of this shows the determination of these two luxurious brands, Jaguar and Land Rover, to tap further into the Chinese market.

At the recent Beijing auto show, the first Jaguar SS100, born in 75 years ago, lifted its veil in front of the Chinese public, and also lifted the magnificent curtain of Jaguar's 75th anniversary celebration. SS100's classic red body, fascinating sideways lines and noble hood design perfectly reproduced the glory of England against the luxurious atmosphere of the booth.

On top of that, 2010 is also Range Rover's 40th anniversary. According to Scott Dicken, general manager of Land Rover China, Land Rover is sparing no efforts in expanding its distribution network in China and strengthening the construction of service team to ensure that the Chinese consumers can enjoy the service experience of the best quality.

Data show that in the first quarter of this year, Land Rover and Jaguar's sales in China had a year-on-year growth of 200% and 142% respectively, which made China their third and forth largest markets around the globe.

It is also reported that Jaguar and Land Rover had made great advances in setting up sales companies in China. Some of the importers' rights of importation had been recovered. Therefore, the establishment of a “centralized”sales company in July was almost confirmed.
