JAC light-duty truck sales to break 1 mln-unit mark

Shanghai, May 18 (Gasgoo.com) Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co. (JAC) sold 62,500 commercial vehicles in the first quarter, including 53,000 light-duty trucks, up 70% from a year earlier, and the company is set to sell its one millionth light truck ahead of schedule this year, media reported today.

Jianghuai's daily sales of light-duty trucks have exceeded 1,000 units and full-year sales in 2010 are expected to pass 200,000 units, laying a solid foundation for the company to break the 1 million-unit sales mark this year.

Sales of light-duty trucks in China totaled 490,000 units for the first quarter, up 45.3% year on year. The JAC brand has been one of the best sellers in the country's light-duty truck sales.

This year Jianghuai has offered three series of light-duty trucks to meet different budgets and needs of customers, with much improvement in its product line-up and competitiveness in the light-duty truck segment.

The Chinese auto company, which is also expanding into the passenger car sector, currently has nearly 1,000 dealerships, 550 service and parts supply stations and 90 or so 4S stores across the country.
