SAIC Motor leads China's Jan-Apr auto sales -CAAM
SAIC Motor Corp Ltd topped China's automobile sales in the first four months of this year with 1.19 million units sold, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd ranked second with auto sales hitting 912,700 units, followed by Dongfeng Automobile Co Ltd with 859,000 units sold, FAW Car Co Ltd with 845,800 units, Beijing Automobile Works Co Ltd with 505,100 units, Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group Co Ltd with 248,100 units, Chery Automobile Co Ltd with 216,000 units, BYD Co Ltd with 208,600 units, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd with 177,800 units and Brilliance China Automotive Holding Ltd with 160,500 units.
During the period from January to April, the top ten auto firms sold a total of 5.33 million autos, accounting for 86% of the country's total.
In the same period, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile led China's passenger auto sales with 440,700 units were sold.
