Shanghai GM May sales up 49% y/y to 83,307 vehicles
In January-May 2010, Shanghai GM boosted sales to 408,200 units, up 79% year on year, First Financial Daily reported yesterday.
In May, the Buick brand sales rose 22% to 45,800 units, the Chevrolet brand sales surged 104% to 30,640 units, and the Cadillac brand sales jumped 98% to 1,052 units.
In the first five months of this year, Shanghai GM posted sales of 5,666 units, an increase of 149% year on year.
According to Shanghai GM website news, June 1 is the first anniversary of the company's restructuring, and sales of the joint venture have hit record 900,000 units in one year from June 2009 to May 2010.
