Shanghai, June 3 (Gasgoo.com) Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., a joint venture between Guangzhou Auto and Honda Motor, is recalling more than 32,000 cars in China to fix a fuel-pipe problem with the power steering, media reported.

Guangqi Honda says in a statement on its website that a loosely installed fuel pipe related to the power steering might need tightening as it could lead to oil leakage and pose a safety risk. The company has not said whether the problem has caused any injuries.

The company started today to recall the Odyssey vehicles made between June 22, 2009 and May 19, 2010. The joint venture in China released the Honda Odyssey in April of last year.

The recall has been reported to China's quality regulator, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the statement says.

The carmaker will check and fasten the oil tube for free. Owners of affected cars can contact Guangqi Honda on the hotline: 400-830-8999, 800-830-8999 or contact the AQSIQ at 010-59799616.
