GAC Changfeng Jan-May sales up 47.3% to 20,824 units

Shanghai, June 11 (Gasgoo.com) GAC Changfeng Motor, former Changfeng Motor and now a subsidiary of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., recently announced that it sold 4,850 vehicles in May, up 33.5% month on month and up 59.4% year on year.

In the period from January to May 2010, GAC-Changfeng boosted sales to 20,824 units, up 47.3% from a year earlier. The company said it would start a sales promotion and offer after-sales service from June to keep up the good sales momentum.

Data shows that the company's Mitsubishi Pajero SUV posted sales of 931 units, leading the domestically made high-end SUVs in May sales. Moreover, its Cheetah family continued to head government purchases and the consumer market.

Additionally, it is reported that GAC Changfeng will tap the second- and third-tier markets through the local auto exhibition and marketing activities to further improve sales and its brand image.
