Honda to seek better labor relations in China
Honda Motor Co. executives said Wednesday they would strive to improve communication between employees and managers following strikes that halted production at Chinese parts-supplying plants in the past month, according to a Bloomberg News report.
Production at a Honda lock-making plant resumed Tuesday after workers agreed to suspend a walkout through June 17 while negotiations continued between union leaders and company representatives.
The production shutdown was the third to affect Honda's supply chain in China over the past month, as workers demanded higher wages.
