Shenzhen to host world electric vehicle event in Nov

Shanghai, June 28 (Gasgoo.com) The 25th World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS-25), a global event for the development of alternative energy automobiles, will be held in November in southern China's boom town of Shenzhen, where leading Chinese EV maker BYD is based, Shenzhen Post reported today.

Held once one year and a half, the World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition is the largest-scale and most influential world summit and exposition in the electric vehicle and new-energy auto sectors. The exposition will exhibit the latest auto technology and its future development trend with the complete vehicle, auto components and supporting facilities.

With the theme of "Sustainable Mobility Revolution", the World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition will explore global subject of "energy saving, environment-friendly and sustainable development." Industry officials, executives and experts will gather in Shenzhen to discuss how to promote the development of the battery, hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles and other new energy vehicles.

At the event, participants will also exchange their ideas about the EV industry guidelines, policies, development strategies and supporting measures for basic facilities, to help set up a platform for the technology cooperation and international electric vehicle industry.

Shenzhen was designated last year as one of the 13 pilot cities for China's new-energy vehicle promotion program. By the end of this year, Shenzhen will have put 24,000 energy-efficient vehicles into service and built a city-wide electric vehicle charging network.
