Mazda China H1 sales up 36% to 106,577 units
Shanghai, July 8 (Gasgoo.com) Mazda (China) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. announced on July 7 that Mazda's retail sales in China increased 42% year on year to 19,926 vehicles in June and the total sales of the first six months reached 106,577 units, up 36% Y/Y, making it the best June and first-half performance in its history in China.
FAW Mazda, one of Mazda's retail networks in China sold 15,160 units in June and 65,335 units in H1.
Another retail network, Changan Mazda's sales in June and H1 were 4,766 and 41,242 units respectively. Both networks broke the highest sales record of the H1.
Takashi Yamanouchi, president and CEO of Mazda (China) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. said: "Despite of the overall slowdown of the auto market, supported by the growing sales of the main models, sales of Mazda maintains a growing trend. The sales of the H1 surpassed 48% of the annual target. We are firmly convinced that we can accomplish the annual sales target of 220,000 units."
Mazda plans to increase the 4S shops of its two retail networks from 254 in January to 300 stores by the end of this year.
In addition, Mazda 6 has already been put on sale at the end of April, the revamped Mazda 3 was also introduced to the market in June, the introduction of the new Mazda 8 model is on the way, all of these measures will further strengthen Mazda's overall product lineup in China.
