Changan Ford July sales up 38% to record 18,000 units

Shanghai August 3 (Gasgoo.com) Changan Ford Sales Co. revealed to the media that in July, the company sold 18,255 vehicles of Ford brand models, sales of the first seven months reached 170.053 vehicles, up 38% year on year.

The newly released 2011 Ford Focus sold 11,413 units in July, breaking a record for five months on end. The cumulative sales of Focus this year achieved 94,599 vehicles, up 30% from the same period last year.

In addition, the new Fiesta sold 4,246 units, achieving cumulative sales of 42,923 units. In the first seven months, Mondeo and S-max sold 29,544 and 3,027 units respectively, up 16% and 20% from a year earlier.

Judging from the sales distribution, it is not hard to see that the sales integration of new Fiesta, Mondeo and S-max is lagged behind by the flagship model Focus.

It is also worth mentioning that Mondeo, which is equipped with a new 2.0 GTDI engine is expecting to be put on sale this month.
