CAAM: Auto sales to reach 16 million units in 2010
China's total auto sales for this year may reach up to 16 million units according to the China Association of Auto Manufacturers (CAAM) Monday.
According to data released, auto production and sales in China reached 1.29 million and 1.24 million units respectively.
Commercial vehicle sales reached 297,800 units in July, down 19.33 percent over the previous month and passenger vehicles reached 946,200 units July, down 9.27 percent over the previous month.
Auto production and sales reached 10.2131 million and 10.2602 million units respectively, up 43.64 percent and 42.65 percent year-on-year.
The top 10 auto sales companies are: SAIC, Dongfeng Automobile, FAW, Changan Auto, BAW, GAIG, Chery, BYD, Brilliance and JAC. They sold 8.84 million cars from January to July in 2010.
