Tata Motors global sales in July up by 36%
TATA Motors said its global sales increased by 36% in July to 90,646 units on robust demand for both commercial and passenger vehicles.
TATA Motors in a statement said that sales of luxury brands from Jaguar Land Rover were at 19,386 units during July, up 30% from the same period last year.
It added that while sales of luxury sedans of Jaguar brand jumped by 26% last month at 5,676 units, Land Rover sales were higher by 31% at 13,710 units.
It said that total passenger vehicles sales stood at 50,070 units in July 2010, a growth of 42% from the corresponding month last year.
It added that commercial vehicles sales were also up by 30% to 40,576 units from the same month last year.
