SAIC took lead by July sales

Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corporation (SAIC) ranked the first on the Top Ten automaker list by the China Association of Automobile Manufactures (CAAM) with a sales volume of 276,300 in July.

The other nine were Dongfeng Motor Corp., China FAW Group Corp., Chang'an Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd., Beijing Automotive Industry
Holding Co., Ltd. (BAIC), Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC), Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Brilliance Auto, BYD Auto, and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., which separately sold 189,700 vehicles, 179,300 ones, 122,800 ones, 106,300 ones, 64,000 ones, 39,100 ones, 33,500 ones, 33,000 ones, and 31,100 ones.

Among them, GAC witnessed a rapid growth month on month, and the other automakers underwent a decline. The Top Ten sold 1.0751 million vehicles in July, accounting for 86 percent of the nation's total sales.

In terms of passenger car sales, Shanghai Volkswagen under the wing of SAIC took the first position in July when it sold 83,700 ones.

The nine automakers following the champion were SAIC-GM-Wuling, Shanghai General Motors
, FAW-Volkswagen, Dongfeng Nissan, Beijing Hyundai, Chery Automobile, FAW Toyota, Guangqi Honda, and Chongqing Chang'an. They sold 83,600 vehicles, 77,700 ones, 66,400 ones, 55,100 ones, 47,900 ones, 38,700 ones, 38,400 ones, 34,500, and 33,500 ones, respectively.
