Chery Tiggo3 facelift to launch in Chengdu Auto Show
The facelift Chery Tiggo3 is set to wow the Chengdu Auto Show with its fresh new face, the first since its conception in 2006. The Tiggo has been one of the best selling Chinese self developed SUV’s since its launch and has continually risen to the top 5 best selling SUV’s month after month.
Currently it seems that Chery is selling two distinct models in China, one is the current model as we all know it, and a second is the ‘DR Edition’ (not DR as in Doctor, though). The DR edition is the styling elements attached to the Tiggo3 by the Italian company DR who sell the Tiggo3 under their own brand in Italy.
The forth coming Tiggo3 is a complete facelift and possibly also engine makeover with Chery rumored to be preparing a 1.6T model for the Chinese market.
Initial engine offerings are likely to be a 2WD 1.6DVVT engine from Chery’s own ATECO range, and is shared with the 2011 Chery A3 model. The engine produces 126bhp of power and has a max torque of 160NM.
