Chery Auto opening sales network for new energy vehicles

Shanghai August 31 (Gasgoo.com) Chery Auto has recently started establishing sales network nationwide for its new energy vehicles, and has already brought 29 dealers into its network, Jin Gebo, assistant to Chery's general manager told Securities Daily.

In late June, Chery New Energy Automobile Technology Limited Company, a subsidiary of Chery Auto, held its first dealers business alliance conference in Wuhu Conch International Convention Centre, at which investment dealers from Anhui, Shandong and Henan province signed contractual intention with the Anhui-based automaker.

Under the contract, dealers will later build some low-budget showrooms in the central areas of the above provinces to display Chery's new energy vehicles and provide after-sale services meanwhile.

In addition to the sales network, the existing dealer network within the authorized Chery sales company and Kirin sales company will also be responsible for sales of Chery's new energy vehicles, Jin Gebo said.

Three Chery dealers now would like to join the network, and if all goes smoothly, they will start selling Chery's new energy vehicles in Shanghai from this October.

On top of that, more than 100 new energy models made by 20 automakers in China have been listed on the recommended Bulletin and Directory Boards, including five from Chery, of which the A5 BSG and QQEV low-speed electric vehicle are already available in the Chinese market. The company will launch the Chery S11, S18 and the Eastar before the first quarter next year.

Chery will develop hybrid, alternative fuel and all-electric vehicles, said Jin Gebo whose sales company has so far sold 600 new energy vehicles.
