Hyundai & Kia Motors Beat Toyota in Europe
Korea's top carmaker the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group is on course to attain a bigger market share in Europe beating out Japan's Toyota for the seventh consecutive month.
According to the European Automobile Manufacturer's Association Korea's two automakers sold over 59-thousand vehicles in September, for a 4.8 percent market share, and a zero.3 percent hike compared to a year earlier.
Meanwhile, Toyota managed to sell over 57-thousand vehicles, slipping to a market-share of 4.6 percent.
The sales figures from both Hyundai-Kia Motors and Toyoya have decreased by 3.8 percent and 4.2 percent year-on-year respectively, however the Korean automaker's market share still grew due to a 9.25 percent overall sales volume decrease in the European sector last month.
Analysts say an increase in demand for fuel-efficient vehicles by European consumers seems to be helping the Korean vehicle manufacturers' sales.
