China's commercial vehicle output, sales exceed 3 mln units

The output and sales of commercial vehicles in China each surpassed 3 million units in the first three quarters of this year, according to a statement recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, sources reported.

China's commercial vehicle output and sales in the first nine months totaled 3.20 million units and 3.24 million units, 30% and 34% more than a year earlier, respectively.

The growth of commercial vehicle sales in the first, second and third quarter was 59%, 37% and 11% year on year, respectively.

In the reporting period, the country's passenger car output and sales were 9.88 million units and 9.9 million units, up 38% and 37% from a year earlier, respectively.

China's auto output and sales totaled more than 13 million units during the period, increasing 36% year on year.
