Ranking of China's top 10 automakers by January-October sales
Shanghai November 15 (Gasgoo.com) The latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed that Chinese automakers sold approximately 1.54 million vehicles in October, up 1.16% month on month and 25.47% year on year, respectively, sina.com reported Tuesday.
In January-October 2010, China's domestic automakers reported sales of 14.68 million units, an increase of 1.03 million units compared with last year's total.
In October alone, Chinese automakers saw their sales dip 1.16% from September but grow 25.47% from 2009 to 1.54 million units.
Last month, the country's vehicle production rose 3.26% m/m and 22.50% y/y to 1.54 million units. Its vehicle production in the first ten months this year achieved 14.62 million units, a growth of 832,800 units compared with full-year 2009 production.
China's top 10 automakers by January-October sales - SAIC, Dongfeng, FAW, Chang'an, BAIC, GAC, Chery, BYD, Brilliance and JAC - sold a total of 12.75 million vehicles, accounting for 87% of the national total.
Sales of the above automakers were 2.95 million units, 2.21 million units, 2.07 million units, 1.92 million units, 1.22 million units, 589,200 units, 539, 400 units, 426,800 units and 386,100 units, respectively, during the period.
