Shanghai December 16 (Gasgoo.com) Chery Automobile Co said vehicle sales in November rose 23.4% from a year earlier to 67,833 units, ranking fifth among domestic passenger vehicle manufacturers and remaining the No.1 own brand automaker in the country, China Securities Journal reported Thursday.

Last month, the Chery Qi Yun series broke through the 20,000 vehicle sales mark for the first time, reaching 20,539 units, and has dwarfed the QQ3 to become Chery's best-selling brand in the Chinese market.

The Chery A3 and Tiggo 3 also had excellent performance in November owing to the launch of new generation products, with sales of 20,539 units and 6,466 units respectively. The two models are now dominating the middle-class car market. But the ever-popular Chery QQ series' market share has declined to 22% from nearly 50% in the segment.

In the first eleven months, Chery sold 607,208 vehicles, up 39.2% compared to the same period last year.

Chery is increasing its vehicle prices as the market structure changes, indicating that its product line-up is being optimized too, with enhanced technology and brand value added.
