From SerchAutoParts.com| December 30 , 2010 09:52 BJT

France-based automobile parts maker Faurecia recently entered into a global strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese carmaker Geely Group and Zhejiang Limin, one of Geely's core suppliers, to establish several joint ventures.

The three companies also plan to build factories in Geely's industrial parks located in Cixi, Zhejiang province, Jinan, Shandong province, Lanzhou, Gansu province, Xiangtan, Hunan province and Chengdu, Sichuan province.

The joint ventures and factories will be mainly engaged in the design, development and manufacture of instrument panels, door panels, uprights and bumpers for all of Geely's car brands. The combination of Faurecia's world-class automobile parts and technologies, together with Geely's expertise in complete vehicle development and Limin's ability to effectively control costs, is expected to take the quality of Geely's new models, especially the interior systems, to a new level.

Furthermore, as part of the three-way cooperation, Faurecia's more than 200 plants worldwide, especially those located in emerging markets, will assist Geely in accelerating its global expansion strategy.
