Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 10) - China has successfully completed installation of 87 electric vehicle charging stations, 5,179 charging machines and 7,031 charging posts, the State Grid Corporation (SGCC) announced earlier this week. The announcement further proves China's dominance in amount of electric vehicle charging equipment constructed.

With SGCC's completion of the cross-region Hangzhou-Jinbei electric vehicle charging network, it now only takes three to five minutes to fully charge a vehicle. SGCC will now focus on building a network for the Yangtze and Pearl River Deltas.

SGCC is also hoping to construct 173 new stations and 9,211 posts within the year. Company Chairman Liu Zhenya added that the company will focus on providing a business model focusing on electric vehicle battery charging.

The company's core service will be in helping promote the economical and rational use of electric power. Due to relatively late construction of the Chinese electric network, SGCC hopes to construct a smart network designed to help ease long-distance transfer of electricity.
