US: Nissan sales up 26.9%
Detroit Free Press - Nissan’s U.S. sales increased 26.9% in March from a year ago and marked the company’s best month ever on the strength of the Rogue crossover, Sentra compact and Altima midsize sedan.
The Japanese automaker sold 298 of its new Leaf electric car, more than doubling the volume of January and February combined. Altima was its best-selling model with March sales of 32,289, up 31% from a year earlier.
Nissan and its Infiniti luxury brand sold 121,141 cars and light trucks in March, about 600 fewer than Chrysler sold.
The G sedan was Infiniti’s best-selling vehicle at 5,119, or 27% higher than a year earlier.
