Chery's foreign sales break half million

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 25) - Chery Automobile announced its 500,000th foreign sale earlier this week, becoming the country's largest exporter, Xinhua reported today.

Chery Spokesman Jin Yipo said that, with this sale, the first phase of the manufacturer's development strategy has finally been completed.

According to Mr. Jin, Chery has already succeeded in establishing and maintaining successful service supply networks in developing markets across the world, with over 1,000 dealers already in operation. Additionally, Chery has already set up production sites in key market in order to ensure the continued success of its foreign sales, which now account for over 20 percent of Chery's total sales.

Having successfully 'sold out of China', Chery is now looking to further enter foreign departments by opening new production sites and R&D centers abroad. According to Mr. Jin, Chery will continue exporting new mid-class and luxury vehicles while beginning test runs in developed markets.
