Dongfeng Peugeot begins construction on third factory

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 20) - Construction on Dongfeng Peugeot's third production site in Hubei's capital of Wuhan officially began earlier this week, auto.163.com reported yesterday.

The new factory, which is planned to begin operating in 2013, will help bring the joint venture's domestic production capacity to 300,000 vehicles within five years. This increase will help Dongfeng Peugeot meet its goal of 5 percent market coverage, as well as expanding segments cover to include SUVs and upper level vehicles.
