Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 23) - The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAMA) has recently put out the industry's May statistics, quality report website cqn.com.cn wrote yesterday. According to the statistics, nearly 1.05 million vehicles were sold in China last month, falling 0.8 percent from April.

Although the decrease was the smallest since the start of the year, Rao Da, head of the CAMA, predicts the worst is still to come in the latter half of the year. Mr. Rao believes that the market has still not overcome exhausting itself over the pats two years, which will help keep growth rates negative. He also puts part of the blame on the remaining effects of the Japanese natural disasters on auto part supply chians, rising oil prices and harsher policies targeting vehicle purchases.
