Toyota's Chinese sales in June disappointing
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 7) - Toyota's Chinese sales decreased slightly in June, with the manufacturer having sold over 59,500 vehicles, auto.ifeng.com reported today. Toyota has only managed to reach 40 percent of its sales target of 900,000 vehicles.
Toyota's sales have been slumping since March 11's earthquake, causing the manufacturer's auto part supply lines to be strained. Toyota is currently lacking full supply for 30 parts.
Sources from Toyota are predicting that it will take until October for the manufacturer's production to return to normal levels. Toyota's profits for the year are set to decrease by 35 percent.
