Changan Mazda to expand dealer network to 200 by end of year

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 1) - Changan Mazda looks to expand its dealer network to 200 in the latter half of this year, the Beijing News reported today. The expanded network will help the joint venture cover more second- and third-tier cities in the country.

Although Changan Mazda has only been able to fulfill 36 percent of its sales goal for the year, the joint venture is confident that its upcoming new generation Mazda 3 'Xingcheng' (pictured) will help it reach its annual target of 100,000 sales.

Meanwhile, Chairman and CEO of Mazda China Yamada Noriaki has confirmed that his company will be revising its 2011 sales target down to 260,000 vehicles in a conference at Beijing.
