Honda's Chinese sales in July fall almost 10% from last year

The manufacturer's performance was 46.42 percent higher than in June, showing that it is getting past the negative effects of the natural disasters in Japan earlier this year. Honda's sales in the country totaled 51,399 units last month. Since the beginning of the year, Honda has sold a cumulative total of 322,768 vehicles in China.
Among its two joint ventures, Guangqi Honda sold 30,646 vehicles in July, an increase of 28.57 percent from the previous month, while Dongfeng Honda sold 20,753, representing a 84.16 percent increase. According to company sources, Honda has completely recovered from the supply shortages it has suffered in the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake earlier this year.
