Dongfeng Honda's new own brand car to be delayed until 2012

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 17) - The introduction of Dongfeng Honda's much anticipated own brand vehicle will be delayed until next year, the Beijing Youth Daily reported today. The new car, which will reportedly be built on the Civic platform, is expected to make its debut at the next Auto Beijing car show in early 2012.

The new car looks to be marketed towards the entry level market, with a price tag of between 90,000 and 12,000 yuan ($14,129-$18,839). The price is considerably less than Honda's ninth-generation Civic (pictured), priced between 120,000 and 170,000 yuan ($14,129-$26,689)
