Infiniti's 2011 sales target will not change, China GM says
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 21) - Infiniti alongside its partner two-time Formula1 champion Red Bull Racing made a joint appearance at the Chengdu Motor Show, xkb.com.cn reported today. According to Infiniti China's General Manager Lv Zhengyu, the brand's Chinese sales target of 20,000 vehicles would not change.
"Infiniti's performance in the first three seasons has been very good," Mr. Lv said. "We are deeply confident [that we will attain our] annual goal of 20,000 sales."
Ever since its entry into the country in 2006, Infiniti's sales have constantly been on the rise, reaching 1,550 in 2007, 4,000 in 2008, 5,000 in 2009 and finally surpassing 11,500 in 2010. Infiniti's average growth every year exceeded 100 percent, and despite the slow market this year, the brand still managed a growth rate of close to 50 percent. China has already become Infiniti's second largest market worldwide. Infiniti hopes to expand its domestic dealer network to 100 outlets within three to five years.
