Chery's August exports exceed 19000
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 22) - New statistics from Chery showed that the manufacturer exported 19,017 vehicles in August, informationtimes.dayoo.com reported today. The figure, which is 83.55 percent higher than the amount exported last August, represents the second time in two months that the manufacturer has broken its monthly best.
The Chery Tiggo (pictured above) accounted for 40 percent of the manufacturer's August sales. Sales of the compact SUV managed to surpass those of Chery's traditionally strong overseas seller the QQ 3 (pictured below). Meanwhile, sales of the A 1, Cowin 2 and A 3 continued to grow strongly.
Chery exported a total of 107,851 from the beginning of the year to August, representing year-on-year growth of 88.2 percent. It looks very probable that Chery may be able to fulfill its export target for this year ahead of time.
At the same time, Chery is continuing to perfect its global sales strategy, with construction of production sites in Brazil and Venezuela. According to statistics, half of Chery's exported vehicles are in some way or another worked on overseas.
